RMLL Junior B Tier I
Junior “B” Tier I represents one of the most exciting and competitive levels of Junior box lacrosse in Alberta. With 13 high-caliber teams, this league delivers fast-paced action, elite competition, and an incredible development environment for aspiring players.
The league features 11 teams across Alberta—three in Calgary, one in Airdrie/Cochrane, one in Okotoks, one in Innisfail, one in Red Deer, three in the Edmonton area, and one in Fort Saskatchewan—along with teams from Saskatoon and Regina, Saskatchewan. This broad geographic footprint creates intense rivalries and memorable road trips.
Junior “B” Tier I is a key stepping stone for athletes aiming to advance to the Junior “A” level. Most players range from 17 to 21 years old, using this stage to sharpen their skills, gain valuable game experience, and showcase their potential for the next level.

Player Draft & Development
The Junior “B” Tier I league also features regional player drafts. Each year, Alberta teams may draft up to 20 graduating U17 players based on geographic regions. While being drafted secures a team’s playing rights to a player, it does not guarantee a roster spot—competition remains strong, and opportunities are earned, just like at the Junior “A” level.
Junior “B” Tier I is where commitment meets opportunity, and where the next generation of elite lacrosse players begins to rise.
